Dog License, Rabies Clinic Coming to West Roxbury Saturday

Find out when and where the clinic will be held in West Roxbury this weekend.

If you're a pet owner in the West Roxbury area and need a license or rabies vaccine for your pet this year, read on. 

Boston's City Hall to Go truck will be arriving in West Roxbury Saturday morning for a special dog licensing and low-cost rabies vaccine clinic. 

The clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the BCYF Roche Family Community Center, 1716 Centre St. in West Roxbury.

Below are a list of fees for licenses and rabies vaccines.

Boston Dog Licensing Fees

  • Spayed/Neutered: $6
  • Intact Male/Female: $17

Rabies Vaccine Fees

  • Boston Residents (with ID): $5 dog/cat ($2 for seniors)
  • Non-Boston Residents: $10 dog/cat

All pets need to be held by a person 18 years old or older. Cats should be placed in a pet carrier or travel kennel.

Pets can only qualify for a three-year rabies vaccine if written proof that the last vaccine was given nine to 12 months previously or that the pet has had a three-year rabies vaccine at any point in the past. 

Pet owners are asked to not bring animals into the clinic on a retractable leash.
