Get Out! Five Things to Do Around Attleboro This Weekend

Here are some exciting events taking place this weekend within a short drive from the 'Boro that include a Grease, Country Fest and American Idol live!


  1. Back to School Bash
    Where/When: Studley Elementary School, 299 Rathbun Willard Dr., Attleboro, August 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    Why Go: Great opportunity to pick up free school supplies!  This event is open to all Attleboro K-8 students, parents, teachers and staff and will include food, fun, and games for children and families!  The first 500 students will receive a free backpack.

  2. Give Me The Rock Festival
    :  Waters Church, 15 John Dietsch Blvd., North Attleboro, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Why Go: This outreach event is geared towards youth and families. This event will include a basketball Tournament for youth ages 13-18, face painting, food, music, jumparoo, popcorn, vintage car and motorcycle show and more. School supplies will be available free of charge for those in need.

  3. American Idol Live!
    :  Dunkin Donuts Center, 1 Lasalle Sq., Providence, August 27 at 7 p.m.
    Why Go: Come see your favorite idol perform live!  This event will include Scotty McCreery, Pia Toscano, James Durbin, Haley Reinhart and many others.

  4. "Grease"
    Where/When:  Borderland State Park, Easton, August 26 from 7 to 9 p.m.
    Why Go: The library of the mansion will turn into a movie theater for the evening!  This event will include a showing of the hit movie "Grease" with refreshments and snacks. Will be held rain or shine

  5. Goin' Coastal Tour with Kenny Chesney and the Zac Brown Band 
    Where/When:  Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, August 26 at 5 p.m.
    Why Go: Bring your cowboy boots and head to Gillette Stadium this weekend! This two day event includes country music sensation Kenny Chesney, the Zac Brown Band and Billy Currington!  Country music fans will not want to miss this event!
