Here's the Plan: Harlem Globetrotters, Wimpy Kid Movie and Tea Party

Here are some fun events that include trick shots, a wimpy kid, green eggs and a tea party with bears.

So much to do with the kids this weekend. There's Diary of a Wimpy Kid at the showcase, a teaparty with chocolate favors, Globetrotters basketball and so much more. 
  1. Harlem Globetrotters World TourWhere/When: Dunkin Donuts Center, One LaSalle Square, Providence, RI , March 25 and 26   
    Why Go:  Come watch the Harlem Globetrotters celebrate their 85th season!  This show that includes amazing trick shots, ball-handling wizardry and cool dunks will provide great fun for the entire family!

  2. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules at the Showcase
    Where/When:  Showcase Cinema's in North Attleboro or Foxboro;Showtimes Daily, opening Friday, March 25 
    Why Go:  If you enjoyed the 2010 hit movie you will not want to miss this sequel! Greg Heffley is back and entering 7th grade in this comedy based on the best-sellling novel by Jeff Kinney. This would make for a great outing for a group of middle school friends and their families!

  3. Little Planet Helpers 
    Where/When:  Emerald Square Mall, 999 South Washington St., North Attleboro, March 26, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
    Why Go:  Come learn how to help save the planet and go green! This event will include crafts and special giveaways for Kidgets Club members.

  4. Children's Tea Party at Watson's Where/When: Watson's Candies and Cafe, 14 South Washington St., North Attleboro, March 27 1:30 to 3 p.m.
    Why Go: Bring a doll or bear friend, dress in your party best and attend a tea party! Treats, crafts, stories and fancy lemonade will be included. Hats are optional and guests will receive a chocolate favor.

  5. Green Eggs and Ham and Gertrude McFuzz
    Where/When: Franklin School for the Performing Arts Recital Hall, 38 Main St., Franklin March 27 at 3 p.m.
    Why Go: Come see an Opera for children! This is the final Family Concert Series event of 2011 featuring Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss and Gertrude McFuzz which will be staged as one-act operas.

Here is another great family idea for this weekend.! Triboro Youth Theatre (grades 5-8) are putting on a fun, cute musical - "Dear Edwina, Jr." Showtimes are Saturday at 7, and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Thacher Elementary School in Attleboro. Tickets are available online at triboroyouththeatre.org or at the door!!
