Councilor O'Malley's District Office Hours

Questions for the councilor? Get them answered as Councilor Matt O'Malley will hold district office hours, Friday, December 13, 8 a.m., Starbucks, 1810 Centre St., West Roxbury.


Roxbury Latin's Messiah Sing 

Lend your voice (or just listen) to the Fifth Annual Community Messiah Sing will be held on Friday, December 13, 7:30 p.m., Roxbury Latin, 101 St. Theresa Ave., West Roxbury.

The soloists for the recitatives and arias include David Cushing (bass-baritone), hailed for his opera performances and his recent Symphony Hall debut; tenor Neal Ferreira (recipient of the 2013 Artist of the Year award from Syracuse Opera); soproano Lindsay Conrad; and alto Jessica Harika, currently studying at New England Conservatory. Brandon Santini of St. Theresa of Avila, West Roxbury, will accompany on the organ, and for the familiar and sublime choral responses, we are depending on you!

Admission is free; a reception will follow in the Jarvis Refectory.

Toys for Tickets

Did you receive a non-public safety Boston parking ticket between December 2 and December 4? If so, you may resolve its financial obligation by donating

non-violent, unwrapped toy of equal or greater value than the ticket fine.  To participate, drivers must bring the parking ticket, as well as a receipt for the toy.

Toys and tickets will be collected from Thursday, December 5, through Friday, December 13, at the following three locations.

  1. Weekdays, between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, in front of the Office of the Parking Clerk, Room 224, Second Floor of Boston City Hall.

  1. Weekdays, between the hours of 7 AM and 11 PM, and Saturdays, between the hours of 8 AM and 1 PM, at the BTD Tow Lot, 200 Frontage Road.

  1. Thursday, December 5, through Friday, December 13, (excluding Sunday, December 8, and Monday, December 9) at the City Hall To Go Truck. Please visit www.cityofboston.gov/cityhalltogo for the truck’s schedule.

 

The following Public Safety related parking tickets are excluded from this program.

  • HP Ramp

  • HP-DV Parking Only

  • Fire Hydrant

  • Crosswalk

  • Double Parking

  • Fire Lane

  • Less Than 20 Ft/Intersection

  • No Stopping/No Standing

  • Sidewalk

  • Island/Center Strip

  • Over One Foot from the Curb

  • Bus Stop


  • Extension of Renew Boston Solarize
