More Than 1,500 Attleboro Customers Without Power in Attleboro

Tropical Storm Irene has wreaked havoc on several in Attleboro neighbhorhoods.

Downed power lines on South Main Street, Payson Street, Thacher Street and County Street in Attleboro have caused more than 1,500 power outages in Attleboro.

More than 290,747 National Grid customers in Massachusetts have been affected by power outages.

National Grid trucks have been spotted in Attleboro and surrounding communities. National Grid sources speaking on anonymity said the power outages will take between two days to one week to repair. Repair work will begin in those communities hardest hit with outages.
