Officials to Discuss Dog Park in West Roxbury Area on Monday

Community members are looking to establish a dog park in Stony Brook Reservation.

Representatives with the Dog Park Association of Southwest Boston will hold a community meeting Monday to discuss ideas for a dog park in the West Roxbury, Roslindale, Jamaica Plain and Hyde Park area.

The association has proposed to develop an off-leash dog park on nine acres of blighted land in Stony Brook Reservation. The group previously held a meeting in West Roxbury this past march, and outreach on the project has been ongoing.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 19 at the Boston Police District 18 Station, 1249 Hyde Park Ave. Area residents and dog owners are invited to attend the meeting and engage in a discussion about the creation of a dog park in Stony Brook Reservation.
