Should West Roxbury Look to 'Open Streets'?

The Open Streets project allows for the closure of a road for the use of walking, dancing and socializing.

West Roxbury Main Streets has posed a question to readers on Facebook, asking what residents think about trying out what is known as The Open Streets Project

In essence, the project allows for the closing of streets normally reserved for vehicle traffic to temporarily allow cycling, walking, dancing and socializing. 

Surrounding neighborhoods on Huntington Avenue and Blue Hill Avenue, among others, have already tried the project out, according to WRMS.
