Two Boston Hospitals Make It Into the Country’s Top 10

Boston is the only city to rank so well in the U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking.

Boston hospitals Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital were ranked second and ninth best hospitals in the country respectively, according to the  U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking of U.S. hospitals.

Boston is the only city in the country to have two hospitals ranked in the top 10.

Massachusetts General Hospital’s psychiatry department was also voted best in the country.

The ranking, released Tuesday, judged hospitals on 16 medical specialties from cancer to urology. Hospitals with very high scores in at least six specialties earned a spot on the Honor Roll, which this year included only 17 hospitals.
