West Roxbury Main Streets and the Lyndon School PTA are holding the Fall Fair today at the YMCA.
West Roxbury Main Streets Executive Director Michael Iceland said the Fall Festival will include a variety of free fun events including pumpkin decorating, a hockey shootout, face painting and more offerings for the whole family.
“Like the Taste of West Roxbury, WRMS aims to make this a signature event for years to come and is partnering with area businesses and organizations to make the festival a success,” Iceland said in an email. “Just like the 25 restaurants and countless others in West Roxbury that helped us make The Taste [of West Roxbury] such a success, a number of folks have stepped up to make this event happen. We can’t wait to see it all come together on October 19th at the Y.”
The event is expected to run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will also include food, apple cider, music and games and a moon bounce. Parking will be available at 2020 Centre Street West Roxbury Internal Medicine or at the 1985 Centre Street (After 1pm bank lot).
Children will be given Trick of Treat bags from Corrib Road Race and are welcome to decorate pumpkins from Mt Washington Bank or indulge in a pie eating contest from BakerBaker with family members..
The event will be supported from partners including the YMCA, Wicked Sharp Sports, Baker Baker, the City of Boston, and other businesses in the district.
The Corrib Trust and Mount Washington Bank are underwriting portions of the event to make sure that it will be completely free for all in attendance, Iceland said.
