West Roxbury Hunkers Down for Snow
Here are things to know around town for Wednesday, Jan. 22.
1. School's canceled today: Boston Public Schools, working off of forecasts calling for 8-10 inches of snow, called off Wednesday's classes on Tuesday afternoon.
2. Community Centers open: To help parents scrambling because of the school closure, the Roche, Orhenberger and other Boston Centers for Youth and Families will open early on Wednesday for children ages 7 and over. Parents, you'll need to fill out a drop-off form before you leave your kids.
3. Palladinos plead guilty: The West Roxbury family pled out on charges stemming from a Ponzi scheme they ran under the guise of a financial investment company. Stephen Palladino was sentenced to 10-12 years in state prison. His wife Lori and some Gregory faces shorter sentences.
4. Weather: Yes, it snowed. But after this storm, prepare for another arctic chill. We won't see a high temperature above the teems until Saturday.
