West Roxbury Resident on the Lookout For Scarecrow Thief

Neighbors hope a stolen scarecrow will be returned to Addington Road.

Year after year, the young children on Addington Road enjoyed  Rchard DiSalvo’s Halloween decorations.

This year, an unknown thief has ruined that tradition.  DiSalvo, an Addington Road resident,  said someone stole the scarecrow from his front yard.

“Every holiday, we try to decorate outside for the children to see,” he said.  "We had put scarecrows out and the other night someone took one.”

DiSalvo said a disappointed little girl was saddened by the loss of the scarecrow.

“Her mom said she has to come by every morning so she can see them,” DiSalvo said. “It’s great to see how much they like seeing them. That is why I do it.”
