According to the (attached) quit claim deed, the property exists in the "West Roxbury District" in 1926. But Jamaica Plain was already an independent Boston neighborhood by 1926, after being part of the town of West Roxbury, which was annexed by Boston in the 1880s.

A nursing home was originally at the 1.8-acre plot, but was taken down in 2006.

Planet Street has owned the property since 2003.
