Ashmont Grill Owner Looks to Open New Restaurant in Nearby Roslindale

The new restaurant would reportedly be located on the first floor of the redeveloped Roslindale Substation.

The owner of the Ashmont Grill and Tavolo restaurant in Dorchester is looking to potentially open a new restaurant inside the proposed Roslindale Substation in nearby Roslindale, according to Boston Eater.

The proposed redevelopment of the substation includes a four-story plan comprising a restaurant, office space, 38 units of housing and 38 parking spaces.

Construction on the new restaurant could begin as early as the summer in the substation building, which has been empty unused since the early 1970s, according to the report. The restaurant would reportedly be located on the first floor of the building.
