Fashion Show Set to Mob West Roxbury Tonight

The show begins at 7 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Oct. 3.

A fashion mob will light up Fairview Corner on Thursday night.

A 50 foot red carpet will be rolled out on the Spring Street sidewalk and music will be blasting as real local woman showoff their fashion, according to Brittany Peavey, and event coordinator.

The event will feature fashions from popular West Roxbury shops, Fabutique, Top It Off Accessories, and  Kalembar Dune.

 “The night’s looks will focus  on easy ways for women to look and feel their best – empowering them to be  their everything,” Marika Gaurenszky of Fabutique said.

Elizabeth Hoenscheid  of Top it said she hopes the event will help local businesses.

“We are continuing  our efforts to re-invent retail in West Roxbury”, Hoenscheid said.

The event will include refreshments and baked goods from Baker Baker and a raffle to raise money for local charieties.  The show begins at 7 p.m. but guests are encouraged to come at 6:30 p.m. 

Kalembar Dune’s Shirley Walsh said The last two Fashion  Mobs have been so successful, with 150-200 people out on the sidewalk watching the show.

” The event is free of charge and all ages are welcome, Shirley-Walsh said. "It is  guaranteed to be a night full of laughs, goodies and fashion. No one should miss out."
