Readers Vote Corrib Pub Best Place for St. Patrick's Day

The Corrib Pub more than doubled the second place winner - the Shamrock Shootout.

 

Once again there has been a clear winner in West Roxbury Patch's Readers' Choice Best of West Roxbury series. The was clearly selected as the best place to go for St. Patrick's Day in West Roxbury.

The Corrib Pub netted 29 votes for 38% of the vote, with the Shamrock Shootout street hockey tournament coming in with 14 votes or 38% of the vote. Third place was netted by the with 12 votes or 16%.

On Saturday the Shamrock Shootout street hockey tournament is at Temple and Sherbrook streets. Sign-ups for children five and older starts at 9 a.m. And the Corrib Pub will be open normal hours.

The Irish Social Club will have Brendan Grace - direct from Ireland from 2-6 p.m. Grace will bring song and laughter. Plus there will be Irish step dancers and a few surprises. Call 781-534-3919 to reserve tickets ($25) or a table. Children are welcome at no charge younger than 12. The Club is also holding a St. Patrick's Day Dance at 8 p.m. with Dave Healy performing, and tickets are $15.
