West Roxbury Official Honored with Rotary Club Award

An awards dinner is set for June 6 at the Irish Social Club.

Mary Mulvey Jacobson of the West Roxbury Business and Professional Association has been chosen as this year's Paul Harris Award winner by the West Roxbury/Roslindale Rotary Club.

The award is given in celebration of excellence in public and community service while raising funds to provide financial support to local organizations, including food pantries and sports teams, as well as high school scholarships. 

Jacobson will be honored at the upcoming Paul Harris Awards Dinner on Friday, June 6 at 6 p.m. at the Irish Social Club of Boston, located at 119 Park St. in West Roxbury.

"I am honored to be chosen to receive the Paul Harris Award," Jacobson said in an email announcement. "I have great regard for Rotary. We are fortunate to have such an active and committed service organization in our community whose members organize and support many efforts to help those who need our support."

Tickets for the dinner are $25 per person in advance, with tables of 10 available for $250. Tickets will be $30 per person at the door. For more information, email rotaryofwestroxburyroslindale@gmail.com.
