Things you can do every day on West Roxbury Patch:

Why won't the WRCC (Roche Center) adjust basketball game times on Saturday??? The Parkway kids end up losing out. Please inquire.
Betty March 07, 2013 at 04:14 PM
I couldn't agree more! Parents have asked the center to move all games up one hour. They won't do it? As a result, my daughter's house league team is unable to participate in the championship. Can somebody at the Patch please investigate this? For the kids!

Hello Mark and Betty - Can you explain a little more. The games are at the Roche Center - why can't your kids attend the games? They have something else going on at that time?
Shawn March 07, 2013 at 06:29 PM
If we are all talking about the same thing, I called the Roch Center yesterday to see if they could help us out. (A lot of the fifth and sixth graders are involved in a travel playoff) If they move the games up one hour (9:00 is the usual start time anyway) all will be good. However, we were told to go pound sand. My daughter is devastated.

Girls House League I 9:00, Boys House League I 10:30, Girls House League II 12:00, Boys House League II 1:30 is the best way to "Patch" this thing up. Maybe the editor can suggest it to the Roche Ctr? I'd certainly become an loyal reader!
MIAA FAN March 08, 2013 at 01:20 AM
THE MIAA MADE A SWITCH!!!! March 7, 2013 MIAA adjusts basketball tourney schedule for NAHS junior prom Because of the junior prom, the MIAA adjusted its North section championship schedule on Saturday to accommodate the North Andover High girls and boys basketball teams which will both play at Tsgonas Arena. The North Andover girls will start the day off facing the winner of tonight's Reading-Wilmington game at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The North Andover boys will faceoff against Brighton High immediately following at 12:15 p.m. Normally, those two games would be the third and fourth games of the day, but the MIAA moved so players and student fans could attend the prom.
