Parkway Travel Basketball tryouts start today and continue through Sept. 14. Also, registration for the Roche Family Community Center programs are on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

  1. Tryouts for the Parkway Travel Basketball teams start today. Players wishing to tryout must register online prior to trying out. You can register online here by clicking the link to the registration form in the upper right corner of the website’s home page. For more info about which teams have tryouts today, . 5 p.m. .
  2. On Wednesday is at 5 p.m. Payment is taken at time of registration in form of only check or money order. Pick up a brochure at the Roche Center, Roche Bros., or the West Roxbury Branch Library. Also available online www.cityofboston.gov/BCYF.
  3. Maybe you missed this heartwarming story this past weekend about participation in a local Amazing Race.
  4. Due to the Labor Day holiday, trash and recycling day is pushed back one day this week.
