I didn't feel it in Brighton. I'm irrationally mad about it. Still have never felt one...

Wow! I totally felt it in my 1st floor condo on Bunker Hill. I knew it had to be an earth quake because the house actually swayed enough that I was stunned for a moment.

I didn't feel a thing. But I was walking the Southwest Corridor in Jamaica Plain with the orange line by Green Street going by, so if I did feel something I may have just shrugged it off as T rumblings.

I live only miles from the center of it and it was pretty scary, never want to feel it again. Does anyone know if there might be after shocks? From Limington

I'm a Californian, living in a high rise on bedrock in Boston. I felt the quake at home and knew immediately what it was. I was surprised it was so brief and mild, but my 2 cats got bug eyed. It's good to be reminded that earthquakes do happen here. The Cape Ann quake in 1755 was a big one, something like 6 on the Richter scale. I hope people in Boston get serious about earthquake preparedness. I think a lot more attention needs to be paid to earthquake safety for brick buildings on fill in places like Back Bay.

I thought it was someone throwing computers out the top floor window of Cook and Medford Street in an attempt to destroy evidence. Oh wait. The Feds already confiscated the computer with all the child porn. Must have been an earthquake I felt. Crazy!!
