UPDATE 12:50 p.m.: Due to extreme cold the bird walk has been postponed by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department.
On Wednesday, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and Mass Audubon are hosting a free bird walk at Millennium Park.
The focus will be on winter birds like tufted titmouses, cardinals, blue jays, woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadees and more.
"The bird walk at Millennium Park is a first for this department. We are grateful to Mass Audubon for conducting this walk in our park. Their partnership with the city of Boston is making this possible," said Jacquelyn Goddard, Dir. of External Affairs and Communications, for Boston's Parks and Rec Dept.
Those interested can meet at the parking lot near the canoe launch at 3:30 p.m. For further info, please call 617-635-4505 or visit online at www.facebook.com/bostonparksdepartment.
