YOUR TURN: What Are You Most Thankful For This Year?

Share your thoughts with your neighbors in West Roxbury.

There is a lot in this world to be thankful for, and this time of year is when we should start to think long and hard about what is really important in our lives.

Are you thankful for a loving, caring family, or a longterm friendship or relationship? Are you thankful to your neighbors? What about to your elected officials, to the city of Boston or to the West Roxbury neighborhood?

Take a few minutes today to think about what means the most to you this year and leave a comment or upload a photo to offer some public gratitude.

I'll start: I am very thankful to be your community editor for years. I am thankful for the way you send me information about your neighborhoods and keep me in the loop. I'm also thankful to have my family, my good health, my wonderful, wonderful wife, and elderly cats, all in my life.

What are you most thankful for? Tell us in the comments.

I'm thankful that my husband and sons are healthy (thank you Harvard Vanguard for keeping us on the straight and narrow and reminding us when we forget immunizations, physicals, and the like!) I'm grateful for food to feed my family and pets; friends who tolerate my ups and downs, birds who come to entertain our cats every morning so they leave me to work on what I need to get done. VERY grateful for a family that enjoys sleeping late so I can listen to NPR uninterrupted. Life is good... today and every day.
