Boston premiere documentary Frederick Law Olmsted:Designing America
Friends of the West Roxbury Branch Library will partner with the Emerald Necklace Conservancy to host the Boston premiere of Frederick Law Olmsted: Designing America at the Museum of Fine Arts at 8 PM on Wednesday, April 23, The documentary, which captures the life and designs of the genius behind Boston's Emerald Necklace, Franklin Park, Central Park and the grounds of the U.S. Capital, was produced by Larry Hott and Diane Garey with backing from WNED-TV Buffalo/Toronto. The Friends featured Hott and more than 20 Olmsted authorities during last year's month-long West Roxbury Reads series which was organized around the biography Genius of Place by New York author Justin Martin. Tickets, $11 each, can be purchased in person at a MFA kiosk, by phone or online.
