Advent Lessons and Carols

The beautiful service Advent Lessons and Carols comes out of a tradition that began many years ago in the chapel of Kings College in Cambridge, England. It is a very simple yet beautiful service of readings and Advent hymns that trace the history of the coming of Christ beginning with the foretelling of the prophets of the coming of the Messiah to the announcement of the angels and the story of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. Advent means "coming" and this season before Christmas is to prepare us for the glorious celebration of how God coming to us in the person of Christ Jesus who gave himself for us that we might have life and have it abundantly. Music will be provided by Andy Castiglione on Organ, with vocals by Heather Montana.

Please join us on Sunday, December 9 at 4:00 p.m. for one of the most beautiful services in the Anglican tradition. Following the service, a reception will be held in the parish hall. All are invited and welcomed.
