"Newton Choral Society's 37th season begins with with Carl Orff's dramatic cantata, "Carmina Burana" (1936). Using selections from a rich trove of 12th and 13th century secular poems discovered in a Bavarian monastery, this work is one of the most popular and  beloved works in the choral repertoire."
