Catholic Memorial School's drama club will present Tom Stoppard’s play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead this fall. The play, to be performed on the CM stage at its 235 Baker St. campus in West Roxbury, is scheduled for November 15 and 16 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.
Winner of four Tony Awards after its Broadway debut in 1968, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is an absurdist look at Shakespeare's most famous play, Hamlet. In it, the two characters express their confusion as the results of Hamlet's tragic decisions unfold on stage. The play explores themes of identity, luck, death and the after-life.
The play will be directed by CM English teacher Nick Colarossi and feature several of CM's finest student dramatists.
