WORKSHOP - Tool Time: Putting Your Gardening Gear to Bed for the Winter

When it comes to gardening, choosing the right tool is important; but small space gardeners -- like most of us in West Roxbury -- often feel that investing in quality tools is disproportionately costly, and maintaining them is too much work. The Evening Garden Club of West Roxbury has designed this workshop to make "tool upkeep" easy and fun.

You'll learn what to do to protect your tools over the winter, including do-it-yourself sharpening and how to prevent rust. The session will also include a show-and-tell of implements you may want to consider in the future, as well as tips on choosing the right tools for the right job, pain-free digging, and more.

Presenter is Donna Lane, a garden designer, writer and consultant. Non-member admission is $5.00 at the door.
