Youth Tennis Tournament

The
4th Annual Youth Tennis Tournament for the benefit of the West Roxbury
based eye charity, Restoring Sight International (RSI), will be
held at the from August 5th through 8th. There are separate sections
for boys and girls and four age groupings, from ages 10-12, 12-14, 14-16 and
16-18. Winners in each age group will receive a $500 educational scholarship and
the Runner-up will receive a $250 educational scholarship. Pro Nate Reinhart of
the Mid-Cape Racquet Club is in charge of the tournament. The tournament is a
Level 6, registered with the US Tennis Association.



Entrance
fee is $50 per player. Players may sign up on-line at the USTA website (www.usta.com) using
the ID # 450400313. Registration fee is $50 per player and registration closes
on July 31st. Email inquiries may be directed to Nate Reinhart at nate@midcaperacquet.com.



The
tournament, now in its fourth year, is unique in several ways: It is the first
tennis tournament ever to recognize the critical importance of sight to tennis
and it is the only teen tournament to offer educational scholarships to the
winners.

Beginning
three years ago with just 28 contestants, the tournament involved 104 entrants
last year. Players come from a wide geographical area, including Cape Cod residents
and those vacationing in the area in August.



All
entrants will receive a Certificate of Recognition, a pair of sight protecting
eyewear and vision-related
educational information.
