Community Corner

Zoo Howl

Children throughout New England are invited to trick-or-treat among the
animals. Thrills, chills, and animals lurk around every corner on the
Trick-or-Treat Trail, which will include candy from UNREAL Candy. Other haunted happenings include creepy crafts,
ghoulish games, costume contests and a haunted maze! Throughout the day, people
can learn about the importance of enrichment as they watch as many of the
animals receive pumpkins, generously donated by Whole
Foods Jamaica Plain, as enrichment items. Visitors will also not want to miss
the hay rides that will be available on both event days.

MAGIC 106.7,
Zoo New England’s 2013 radio partner, will be onsite on October 26 with music,
games and prizes. On October 27, be sure to join the Girl Scouts of Eastern
Massachusetts for fun crafts at Zoo Howl.

Zoo New England
is pleased to partner with Green Halloween® for this year’s festivities. Green
Halloween is a grassroots initiative to encourage communities to celebrate
healthier and more sustainable holidays, starting with Halloween. Green
Halloween has a simple goal: to keep fun and happy memories while creating traditions
children and parents can feel great about, now, and in the future. To learn
