Learn About Greenovate Boston Tonight at West Roxbury Neighborhood Council

Benita Hussain from Greenovate Boston will be speaking about Boston's goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2020.

 

At Tuesday night's West Roxbury Neighborhood Council meeting, residents will learn about Boston's progress on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Benita Hussain from Greenovate Boston will be the featured speaker. Hussain is one of the Mayor’s first two Greenovate Fellows, and is in charge of spreading information about Greenovate Boston throughout the city and getting communities and businesses involved, according to a city press release.

Greenovate Boston is a collective movement to foster a greener, healthier and more prosperous future for the city by meeting Boston’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2020. Greenovate will encourage continued sustainable growth within Boston.

Also on the agenda is Boston Police Officer Ed Roach, from Area E-5, who will discuss crime statistics for the West Roxbury area.

WRNC meetings are held starting on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Area E-5 Police Station community room. All WRNC meetings are open to the public.
