Families in Need to Receive Thanksgiving Groceries in West Roxbury

Families in need to receive Thanksgiving dinner.

West Roxbury officials will be delivering Thanksgiving groceries from Roche Bros. to families and seniors in need next week.

The West Roxbury Business and Professional Association along with the Boston Police Department, West Roxbury YMCA and Ethos/AgeWell West Roxbury will deliver the groceries to over 80 families and seniors at 9:30 am. on Tuesday.

The groups have identified a list of families and seniors at risk who need holiday groceries at Thanksgiving and Christmas.  They then worked with Roche Bros. who offered them  a consideration on the cost, and then bag up the groceries for distribution.

A group of volunteers from the business, non-profit and residential communities then make the deliveries.

Each delivery costs approximately $50 and between the two holidays, and we will deliver to approximately 180 sets of groceries.
