Farewell Party Scheduled in West Roxbury For Mayor Menino

In honor of his decades of public service to the neighborhoods of Hyde Park, Roslindale, and West Roxbury, a special Neighborhood Tribute for Mayor Thomas Menino will be held this month at the Irish Social Club.

The evening will feature a reception, buffet dinner, a Sponsors Ad program, and special program paying tribute to  Menino and the entire community is invited.

“He has been extremely accessible and we want to make sure people who love and know him, can show appreciation for him,” Charles River/Spring Valley Neighborhood Association President Dennis Orthman  said.

Orthman expects 400-450 people to come and said the proceeds from this event’s ticket sales and sponsorships will be donated to Camp Harbor View, a program created by  Menino to offer Boston’s children a true summer experience.

Menino will be speaking as part of the ceremony which will include a reception, buffet dinner, a Sponsors Ad program, and special program paying tribute to longtime Boston mayor.
