Hundreds Attend Mayor Menino's Farewell Party in West Roxbury

Menino's farewell party in West Roxbury raised over $12,000 for a children's camp, which was founded by the longtime Boston mayor.

A special Neighborhood Tribute to Mayor Menino was held at the Irish Social Club in West Roxbury on Friday.

A total of 500 people from the community attended the farewell party, which was held as a fundraiser  for Camp Harbor View, a program created by Mayor Menino to offer Boston’s children a true summer experience.

Dennis Dennis Orthman, Event Co-Chair said the party gave Menino’s many friends and neighbors from Hyde Park, Roslindale, and West Roxbury the chance to thank him for his dedication to preserving the quality of Boston.
