Telephone #s and Emails to Know for Snow

While Boston is not expected to get a record-breaking snow - more like 3 to 6 inches, it is still important to know who to call in case of emergencies.
Call the Mayor's 24-hour hotline anytime if you have any questions or are in need of services at 617-635-4500. Hotline workers will direct your call to the DPW or other departments, depending upon the situation. You can also report downed powerlines, clogged sewers, non-plowed streets, non-shoveled walkways, and other issues, to the hotline workers.

- Sign up for ALERTBoston, a City of Boston service that lets you know about road closures and other importanrt community news.
- To contact the Boston Police or Fire departments please call 911, even if it's a non-emergency situation.
- Has your public street not been plowed yet? Request a salting, sanding or plowing with a City of Boston website here.
- Or how about if a walkway hasn't been shoveled? Report it to the City here.
