West Roxbury 4th Grader Donates 330 lbs of Food to Charity

A West Roxbury 4th grader has raised money to pay for over 300 pounds of food for those in need.

A fourth grade student at the St. Theresa’s School in West Roxbury acted alone to donate over 300 pounds of food to charities for Thanksgiving.

Through the generous donations of family and friends, Isabella Matthews, age 9, delivered 330 lbs of food just in time for Thanksgiving to the Catholic Charities of Boston who will provide families in the Greater Boston with needed items.

This is Matthew’s 2nd annual food drive, which her parents, Brian and Sonia said is something she came up with and has organized herself.
