Looking for something to do on New Year's Eve, Night or Day? Here are some options in the neighborhood and outside of it. Remember to dress warm, drink responsibly, drive safely, and tip the babysitter well!

First Night Boston

First Night Boston begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 31 in Boston and runs through midnight. Enjoy family-friendly activities, arts, music and more. All First Night outdoor events are free, but a button is required for all indoor events. Buttons are $18 each. New Year's Eve Bash in Jamaica Plain

First Day Hike in the Blue Hills

The Friends of the Blue Hills are hosting their on Sunday, January 1, at noon. The event starts with free hot chocolate, soup and cookies around a campfire, then there will be a 1 to 2 hour hike with DCR Rangers and Friends of the Blue Hills volunteers at 1 p.m. Dress for the weather and wear hiking boots.
