Letter: Boston Shines on April 28 in West Roxbury - Who Wants to Help?

Many neighborhoods groups are volunteering to clean up West Roxbury, you can volunteer, too, to keep Boston shining.

To the Editor,

The 10th Annual Boston Shines is fast approaching and we are looking forward to having a tremendous turnout in West Roxbury! Many groups and individuals have already registered and committed to help make West Roxbury shine on the weekend of April 27 and 28.

If you do not have a project in mind but would like to participate, please come down to the Hastings Street Municipal Lot (corner of Hastings and Centre streets) on Sat., April 28 at 8:30 a.m. From there, we’ll provide t-shirts, gloves and tools and spruce up Centre Street! State Senator Mike Rush will provide coffee and donuts and state Rep. Ed Coppinger will provide bottled water for our volunteers.

Some of our participating groups include West Roxbury Main Streets, Chestnut Hill Realty, Roche Community Center, Ohrenberger Community Center, Draper Pool, Washington/Grove Business Association, the Bellevue Hill-Stony Brook Clean Up, WR Education Complex, WR District Court, Parkway Little League and many more…. don’t miss out! Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions at all.
