Spectra Energy Natural Gas Project

Hello,

We received a letter regarding a meeting December 3rd at the Dedham Holiday Inn at 7:00pm from Spectra Energy.  They only send it to direct a butters of their proposed project and most residents of West Roxbury, Dedham and Westwood have no idea about the project.

They are putting in a multi-state natural gas line and want to put a Natural Gas Transfer Station directly across the street from the West Roxbury Crushed Stone Quarry - where they blow things up on a daily basis.

The quarry has recently expanded it's blasting zone and that also should be re-examined by Spectra.  I live in the area and when the quarry blasts your house shakes to the foundations.  I am very concerned how that would affect the gas transfer station.  Blasting and gas do not go together. I'd be interested to know their safety record.

They have had many law suits over the years for damage to property.  It is also a wetland in that location and that should be addressed.

The project is to go through West Roxbury, Dedham and Westwood and all residents should know about it.

They should also know that whatever they say to the company representatives doesn't matter, they have to attend the meeting to have their concerns officially entered
.  They could also do it directly  at the Ferc web site.
