West Roxbury Man Arrested For Assault After Red Sox Parade

The incident was one of three reported fights in Boston on Saturday.

A West Roxbury man was arrested on assault charges on Saturday after a fight in downtown Boston after the Red Sox championship parade.

Kieran Boyle, 21, of Dedham along with Liam Browne, 23, of West Roxbury were arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon — a shod foot — after a fights broke out near a crowded downtown bars after the Sox parade, according to Boston.com.

Witnesses told police a man had walked by the victim and punched him in the head, knocking him to the ground near Central and India streets. A second suspect then kicked the victim repeatedly in the head before running and getting into a vehicle on nearby Broad Street, witnesses told police.

Witnesses identified Boyle as the man who had kicked the victim in the head, according to the Globe.

The victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Globe reported.

Boyle is expected to appear Monday morning in Boston Municipal Court.
