Driver Hits West on Centre Restaurant; Everyone OK

An elderly woman trying to parallel park on Centre Street ended up driving her vehicle errantly and hitting the outside of the West on Centre restaurant in West Roxbury.

The driver was OK, and was out of her car and walking around after the accident, according to a witness.

West on Centre's manager John Murray said he saw the whole thing as the woman was trying to parallel park, but apparently hit the gas. She allegedly drove into the building, breaking a hole into the wall, and pushing back the windows, which were right where customers were sitting. Those customers were unhurt, said Murray.
