Firefighters Battle 4-Alarm Brush Fire at Stony Brook Reservation

The BFD said firefighters have been in the area off and on all weekend and this is the third day in a row that brush fires have been in this area.

Boston Firefighters are battling a  four-alarm brush fire at the Stony Brook Reservation area on the West Roxbury-Hyde Park line.

The fire is in the Washington St., Turtle Pond Pkwy and West Boundary Road, according to Boston Fire Department’s Twitter Page.

The BFD said firefighters have been in the area off and on all weekend and this is the third day in a row that brush fires have been in this area.

Firefighters first responded to the scene at 6:20 a.m. Monday morning, and as of 8:30 a.m.  the incident commander has ordered a fourth alarm for more firefighters, according to the BPD Twitter Page.

Firefighters applied a foam on the area of the fire, to keep the ground cool, according to Twitter photos.
