Boston Firefighters Battle Stony Brook Brush Fire

Boston Firefighters have been released from the scene.

Boston Firefighters have been released from the four alarm Stony Brook Reservation brush fire that broke out Monday morning.

As of 10 a.m. most of the hot spots of the fire had been extinguished and no smoke was showing in the sky.

Areas of Enneking Parkway remained closed hours after the fire by State Police officials.  

Firefighters first responded to the scene at 6:20 a.m. Monday morning, and as of 8:30 a.m.  the incident commander had ordered a fourth alarm for more firefighters, according to the BPD Twitter Page.

Firefighters applied a foam on the area of the fire, to keep the ground cool, according to Twitter photos.

The BFD said firefighters have been in the area off and on all weekend and Monday was the third day in a row that brush fires have been in this area.
