Gary's Liquors Deposit Bag of $1420 Stolen

Theft happened on March 23, and suspect got away on foot out of Chestnut Hill shopping area.

 

A brazen robber was able to get away with $1420 on Friday from a employee on his or her way to desposit the cash a couple feet away from the store.

were called around 9:16 a.m. on Fri., March 23, and were told the employee was trying to make a deposit to a bank within the same shopping plaza.

The employee said the suspect ran behind him or her, grabbed the cash the employee was carrying in her or his hands, and then fled down the end of the shopping plaza and took a right onto Independence Drive, according to a Boston Police report. The employee was not hurt.

The suspect was described as being tall, wearing a dark grey-hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, black pants and black sneakers.

A search of the area by Boston, Brookline and Dedham police departments was to no avail.
