Students were picked up by over 600 busses with only a few delays from some diehard union members who tried to convince their fellows not to work, Boston.com reported.
Veolia Corp., the private company that oversees the bus operation, said they would meet with drivers if they reported back to work. The meeting will be held Wednesday morning and Veolia Corp. Spokesman Lee McGuire encouraged parents to have plans in place for this afternoon in case the talks don’t go well and the strike resumes, The Globe reported.
