An accident in Hyde Park early Saturday morning killed 25-year-old Mercedes Leary of Hingham, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

Mercedes was the passenger in a 2005 Toyota Tundra owned by her father and being driven that morning by Gregory Colandris, 22 of Hyde Park, Universal Hub reported Monday afternoon.

Colandris was arraigned Monday morning at West Roxbury District Court and given $50,000 cash bail. His bail was revoked, however, on a previous OUI charge stemming from an incident in September when Colandris alleged drove drunk at 70 miles per hour on Washington Street in West Roxbury, Universal Hub reported.

The DA's office said Colandris fled the scene of the accident on Dedham Parkway in Hyde Park at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Boston police K9 units attempted to track him, but lost the scent. He was found later that morning at home, smelling of alcohol and blew a .037 on a Breathalyzer, according to Universal Hub.

Leary's family was notified of the accident Saturday morning.
