Memorial Fund Established for Lt. Ed Walsh and Firefighter Michael Kennedy
Donations being accepted through the Boston Firefighters Credit Union.
The Boston Firefighters Credit Union has established a fund for Lt. Ed Walsh and Firefighter Mike Kennedy who lost their lives in Wednesday’s 9-alarm fire in Boston’s Back Bay.

Since Wednesday night condolences have been pouring on social media honoring these two heroes, as well as all the first responders injured and all those affected by Wednesday’s fire.
Walsh, 43, of West Roxbury, served on Engine Company 33. He was married and had three children all under the age of 10. Lt. Walsh's late father was a lieutenant in the Watertown Fire Department, as was his late Uncle Bill. His cousin Tom is currently a Captain, also in Watertown.
Kennedy, 33, of Hyde Park, served on Ladder Company 15. He was single and served in the Marine Corps. Kennedy sat on the the board of the Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation. A group that volunteers with burn patients.
