Police Arrest Dedham Man in Dunkin Donuts Robberies

A Dedham man has been arrested and charged with a series of Dunkin Donuts robberies, according to Canton Police.

Isaiah Murphy, who was born in 1990, allegedly robbed more than 20 Dunkin Donuts in the Greater Boston area, two of which occurred in Canton. The town is also the home of the company's headquarters. A follow-up investigation is still ongoing.

Canton police worked with the Boston Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, NORPAC detectives and numerous local law information enforcement officers to take Murphy into custody at 2:40 p.m. He was then taken to the Canton Police Department's headquarters and will be arraigned Wednesday in Stoughton District Court.

Police say evidence collected at many of the affected locations were linked to Murphy.

Area police departments had been searching  for the suspect in a string of recent armed robberies at Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in several communities including  West Roxbury, according to Canton Police.

The Dunkin Donuts on VFW Parkway and on Washington Street were each robbed this past summer.

After what police called an "intense investigation," they obtained a search warrant for Murphy's home  from Stoughton District Court at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
