Police Say Victim Was Shot at Several Times in West Roxbury

The suspect allegedly shot at the victim's vehicle several times.

State Police said the suspect in Friday’s shooting incident fired at the victim’s vehicle several times before fleeing the scene.

State police believe the  victim, a 32 year old female from Dedham, was driving her car northbound on the VFW Parkway in West Roxbury when another vehicle shot at her car several times.

At 4:45 p.m. The victim then drove herself to the Dedham Police Department on High Street where she was found with gun shot wounds and  then transported by ambulance to the Beth Israel Hospital, State Police said.

Dedham Police Chief Michael d'Entremont said EMS found the 32 year old female in the vehicle to be suffering from non-life threatening injuries.  

Her vehicle showed signs of being struck by gun fire, d'Entremont said in a statement.

Dedham, Boston and Massachusetts State Police Officers responded to the Dedham/Boston line and secured the area to be processed as a crime scene.

The Massachusetts State Police have assumed jurisdiction in this investigation.  

Chief d'Entremont said the  incident is still currently under investigation.

The victim's name has not been released and a suspect has not been arrested.

As of Friday night, Boston Police Department made an entry at a house in Roslindale possibly connected to the shooting, according to a photograph on Twitter.

During the search, South Street near Walter in Roslindale was shut down, and the suspect's car from the Dedham shooting found there, according to a Tweet from UniversalHub.
