Two West Roxbury Young Boys Found After BPD Search

Two brothers, 9- and 11-years-old, were missing from their West Roxbury home for several hours, triggering a citywide alert leading to the MBTA Transit Police locating the boys.

 

A citywide alert was triggered tonight after two young brothers went missing from their West Roxbury home today. A BPD spokesperson confirmed the two boys were missing around 12:30 p.m. today and found around 8:50 p.m. tonight by the MBTA Transit Police.

He said BPD did not receive a call about the 9- and 12-years-old brothers missing, until about 7 p.m. Police quickly extended the search area to the Dedham Mall area, especially considering the initial report of the boys missing came from 5050 Washington St., in West Roxbury. The Dedham Mall is within walking distance, albeit on a busy road of 5050 Washington St
