Two-Alarm Fire Causes $250K in Damages at Blue Hill Radio & Appliances

A two-alarm fire that sparked in the basement of Blue Hill Radio & Appliances on Centre Street in West Roxbury caused about $250,000 in damages Friday, the Boston Fire Department said

While no injuries were reported in the fire, smoke damage spread throughout the basement of the business, where the fire was contained, officials said.

Boston firefighters have extinguished a fire in the basement of 1898 Centre St. in West Roxbury, the Boston Fire Department said.

Smoke was reported at the one-story building shortly after 1:30 p.m. Friday. The fire was found to be in the basement of Blue Hill Radio & Appliances on Centre St. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, BFD said.
