[VIDEO] Power Back in Attleboro: 72 Hours to One Week

Attleboro Acting Police Chief Kyle Heagney gives a status update on power.

Attleboro Police Chief Kyle Heagney said power could take between 72 hours to one week to repair. Officials ask residents to remain patient as crews from the Parks and Forestry Dept. and Department of Public Works work to remove trees.

Trees attached to power lines will need to be removed by officials from National Grid.

A week with no power? Ummm did they forget about the "city" of Attleboro? What do they suppose I do with my sons insulin as he is type 1 diabetic and the in used vials need to stay cold? Heads should roll and people ought to be voted out of office.

Maybe Attleboro should put up alternative power, like wind mills and solar farms. Do what north Attleboro did with there town power. They seem to got it together since they all have power and very little outages. Dumas! Exactly! Sound it out.

Anyone notice, if your on the same grid as a liqour store, resturtant, etc you have lights it seems. Sturdy has power as it should, but the apartment across the doesnt, sturdy st, the more residental parts of Forest, Emory and Park dont. Heard on The radio, Seekonk& Brokton are the same way, more commerical done before residental. Plus how many of us have seen a National Grid truck around? I saw one and that was with driving in Attleboro, Plainville, and Seekonk today. Is our area a low prioriy as rumors have been saying?

Huh! Our All Star staff of City Government Officials cannot seem to answer their phones! With all this technology for communicating up to date information, you would think that they best and the brightest in out City Government would use a wee bit of it. Remember how they handled this Attleboro residents come election day!! Remember or we are doomed to repeat! M. Collins

I was driving around last night charging my phone and I drove to TGI fridays for some food since i have no power. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot guess what? I saw at least 15 national grid trucks lined up in a row!! Needless to say I was very upset since I dont have power and these guys are living it up at TGI fridays in north attleboro on route 1. I took pictures with my cell phone camera of all the trucks in the parking lot. I should post them somewhere so everyone can see national grid "hard at work". This sucks!
